I offer a caring, safe and confidential service with an
ethos of respect and non- judgmentalism for adults
(17+yrs old). This can be short or long term therapy.
I have an integrative approach to counselling, which
means I am trained in a variety of different approaches
and skills. From these I tailor the counselling to suit the specific needs and circumstances of each individual.
These include person-centred therapy, CBT,
transactional analysis, solution focused therapy and psychodynamic theories, which take into account
childhood experiences that influence who you are
today. I also use creative therapies.
I offer help with problems such as depression,
anxiety, panic attacks, stress, the effects of trauma, bereavement, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, rejection, divorce or relationship separation, low self esteem, abuse be it physical, psychological,
emotional, sexual, spiritual; living with illness,
attachment issues and self harm.
Like all professional counsellors, I regularly meet with
my counselling supervisor, whose job it is to ensure I
am giving my clients a service that is of a good
standard. Your identity is never given to my supervisor.
For individuals your first 30min appointment will include discussing what you are looking for from counselling and arranging further appointments. If I feel you would be better with another form of help, I will endeavour to find the right professional or agency who would better meet your needs.
All following appointments are 50-60 minutes long, usually on a weekly basis.
First session for individuals considering a course
of sessions is free.
All following sessions: £40
There is no free session for couples counselling, but there is pre-assessment contact.
